THE INSPIRATION: SARDINIA

Known as legendary warriors of the sea, as far back as the 13th century B.C., the Shardana plied the waters of the Mediterranean, challenging the great empires of the time. Recognizable by their helmets and large round shields, these fighters left a deep mark on the history of Sardinia, becoming symbols of strength and endurance.

Their legacy is still visible in the ruins of the Nuraghi, majestic stone towers that dot the island and tell of an epic past of courage and tenacity.

Shérdan Extract is inspired by this ancient history, celebrating Sardinia, where wilderness meets the echoes of battles of yesteryear. A scent that sounds like a reminder of an island that has been able to defend its identity through the centuries, with a character forged by wind and salt, stone and water.

Here the sea is not just a backdrop, but a protagonist that dialogues incessantly with the land, carrying saline aromas that evoke freedom and adventure. Shérdan narrates a sensory journey along the Sardinian coast, where the scent of the sea is intertwined with wild myrtle, rosemary and the earthy essences of the Mediterranean scrub. A tribute to a proud and indomitable people who live in harmony with their land and sea, in a primordial balance.

OLFACTIVE DESCRIPTION OF SHERDAN

Shérdan opens with a fresh and vibrant breath of Marine Notes, amplified by the delicate aromaticity of Star Anise to infuse a spicy and unexpected brio. The Seaweed and Salt accord boosts the marine soul of the fragrance, immediately giving it a decisive and enveloping character, evoking the salty breeze of the Sardinian coast.

In the heart of the composition, Marine Notes intertwine with the balsamicity of Wild Myrtle and Gurjum Balsam creating an aromatic and intense bouquet. This combination gives depth and originality, recalling the scents of the Mediterranean maquis, where the scent of wild herbs mingles with that of the sea. Base notes enhance the woody essence of the fragrance. Virginia Cedarwood blends harmoniously with Myrtle and to balsamic nuances, prolonging the marine character of the opening notes. The base is warmed further by a refined blend of Musks that marry with the earthy notes of Patchouli and the creamy warmth of Malabar Sandalwood, thus amplifying the persistence and depth of the fragrance.
