Francesca Dell'Oro Parfum's new olfactory proposal awakens decadent and sensual atmospheres, makes the air resound with the effluvia of Austrian waltzes and late 19th-century poisons, orchestrating through a skillful interweaving of precious raw materials all the pathos of a literary drama.
Arthur Schniztler's Miss Else, admirable opera and grandiose play, from which ELSE the new FD'O Parfum fragrance takes its cue, is a pressing vibration of rhythm and oblivion in which the creator has fused her love for the psychological investigation of a highly controversial character.
A perfume that becomes a modern work of art.
An evocative pyramid like an inner dialogue with a tight and ardent rhythm.
To give body and palpitation to this fragrance we therefore played with poignant accords, rich in theatricality and floral, passionate and voluptuous notes. Here, then, are bursting onto the scene bouquets of flowers, including accords of Rose, Jasmine, Champaca, delicate Lily of the Valley, the interweaving of which exalts the supreme beauty of youth, the acerbic and quivering sensuality, a delicious vanity full of expectation and promise.
The foretold drama, however, brings with it bitter realizations that are wonderfully rendered by the death grip of Cassia and Carnation, like coils of powerful Veronal, the poison-symbol in the work of escape and rebellion from a false and corrupt reality. Only in the bottom of the fragrance is all the decadence of the refined bourgeois society of the time consumed and revealed.
Precious woods, Irises, Amber, Mousse de Saxe are like continuous mirror games, convulsive moods echoing in the air to the ever fainter sound of a piano.
"The air is like champagne."
"A little more powder on the nape and neck, a drop of verbena on the handkerchief, now I close the closet and open the window again: oh, how wonderful!" (Miss Else) Decadence, foreboding, defiance and oblivion. A perfume with a frenetic rhythm, like a continuous-flowing inner dialogue in which each element overturns the other in a throbbing emotional antithesis. All raw materials vibrate like the notes of a poignant music that leads us with magnificent poise to the most surprising of endings.

Perfumer's Note "To tell Arthur Schnitzler's novella Miss Else in chords and notes was to plunge the hands and sense of smell inside the soul of the character. Francesca Dell'Oro's bold proposal immediately aroused great enthusiasm and total synergy in me. Francesca's inner vision of the drama fused into a fragrance was then a stark and distilled reminder of my past in the theater. And so, tuning to poison, awakening voluptuous and decadent atmospheres, dancing to the touch of a piano, was the fulfillment of a collaboration that inspired me for each and every raw material within ELSE. Each chord was then illuminated by flowers, precious woods, and spices.
Creating ELSE for FD'O Parfum really represented the material evolution from a play into a work of art perfume."
