DOLCE Q.B. SAMPLE
Perfume spray vial, 2 ml
DOLCE QUANTO BASTA.
"Not just any vanilla, in the sense of vanillin or cake, but a vanilla pod dropped and literally sunk, drowned and swallowed by the magma of birch tar".
The ingredients of Dolce q.b. are found, for the most part, within Émile Zola's novel Nanà. All the shops were known to him, he knew the individual smells, in the gas-saturated air: the robust scents of Russian Leather, the aroma of vanilla from underground in a chocolate workshop, the musky effluvia coming from the open doors of perfumeries... Nanà's perfume was patchouli.
The perfume (from Parfums et Beautè): The 50 ml extrait de parfum fragrance with a high concentration of raw material is a unisex oriental vanilla, studied from a completely new perspective so much so that its complexity could be compared to the 'Rubik's cube' where the difficulty consisted in placing each colour on each of the six faces of the cube. Do not be misled by the perfume's name 'Sweet Enough' and the fact that it is an oriental vanilla.
Identifying the individual notes that make it up is impassable. The opening is characterised by clear fruity-liquid accents obtained with Bergamot, currant and a Natural Strawberry extracted with Jungle Essence Co2 extraction technology, which together with Gurjum Balsam give great volume to the perfume through subtle nuances of Madagascar Vanilla Absolute, Vanilla Bean Infusion and Vanilla in Co2, Peru Balsam and Chocolate Powder accompanied by Ethylmaltol: an explicit homage to Angel perfume Icon of the 1990s.
Cristian with La Q.B explores a new olfactory richness by treading unknown paths and overturning what are the current codes of modern artistic perfumery, with a new interpretation of the oriental sillage creating a soft but at the same time very toasty and spicy vanilla, as it is literally enveloped in Birch Tar, Incense and Cinnamon which make it irresistible but without the gluttonous side. Accents of Sumatran Patchouli from the Gayo region famous for coffee production contribute to the vanilla pods' roasted coffee nuances. Incredibly, the heart notes are floral and light in their suavity and transparency, iris and jasmine act as a trait d'union between the top and base notes of the fragrance itself, giving it ample breath. Ambreine and Sandalwood give soft nuances to the now unrecognisable vanilla pod, along with Musk and Vetiver that reveal themselves in the final drydown, with leather that seems to want to leave a tattoo on the skin.
An absolutely persistent and unisex fragrance, never overly sugary, but... As sweet as it gets.
